Dr. Alberto Aliprandi was born in Milan on 26 October 1966. He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan on 28 June 1996, and became certified at the University of Pavia on 23 October 2002. He taught the”Diagnostic Imaging Techniques 3″ university course as part of the Medical Imaging Radiology and Radiotherapy Techniques degree program. He is a tutor for training doctors attending the Radiodiagnostics Certificate school and the Medical school of the San Donato Milanese centre.

Speaker at several invited lectures at national and international conventions. His scientific activity concerns multiple aspects of diagnostic imaging, with particular reference to musculoskeletal (diagnostic and interventional) pathology, rheumatology and oncology. Until May 2017 he was in charge of the Musculoskeletal Radiology module of the Diagnostic Imaging Department directed by Prof F. Sardanelli at the IRCCS Policlinico San Donato of San Donato Milanese (Milan). He personally contributed to the start-up management of the Radiology and MRI service of multi-specialty centres in Zelo Buon Persico and of the Bernasconi Radiology Centre (Seregno) where he is the Musculoskeletal MRI Manager. He has published 58 scientific papers including 50 in extenso papers in journals with impact factor (H-index = 15 number of citations = 1062 calculated according to the Scopus database) of which 12 as first author; 8 full-length articles in journals without impact factor and he is the author or co-author of 7 book chapters. He has actively participated in numerous international (26 abstracts) and national (41 abstracts) conferences. He is co-author of prize-winning works at national and international conventions. He has been an invited reviewer for international journals with impact factor including (KSST); reviewer for the official journal of the Italian Society of Medical Radiology (SIRM). He has been an organizer, moderator and speaker at numerous Italian convention events. He was appointed national advisor to SIRM (Italian Society of Medical Radiology), Musculoskeletal Radiology division, for the four-year period 2011-2013, and he is currently an active member taking part in numerous travelling convention events all over the country. He is a member of ESR (European Society of Radiology) and SIRM (Italian Society of Medical Radiology).
